A Story of a Woman and a $10 Dress

Andrea bought a white dress for $10.

It didn’t fit.
But she bought it anyway.

For months, she kept it in her closet…
Trying it on. Twirling. Imagining.

Sometimes she pictured it as her wedding dress someday.
Other times, she just wondered if she’d ever feel like the woman who could wear it.

Then Andrea booked a portrait session.

The morning of the shoot, she tried the dress on one more time.

It zipped.

An hour into the session, I asked, “Are you ready for the white dress?”

When Andrea stepped in front of the mirror, she froze.
She said she felt five years old and fifty at the same time.
